Duck eggs

I hear ducks can start laying as early as 16 weeks but if they mature near winter they may go the whole winter without laying and wait until spring.

I hope she lays soon. Best of luck!

Thanks. I just double-checked my calendar. She'll be 19 weeks on Tuesday. Here's hoping. I just got rid of my extra drake. Maybe now that she doesn't have that extra stress, she'll start laying.

I believe it's typically around 6 months for most ducks. My two girls I hatched out last year were late in the season (hatched in July), so they didn't start laying until they were 9 months old due to the winter. At any rate, I would give your girl a couple more months before I'd expect anything from her.

Mine started between 20-23 weeks and I have a few smaller ducks. The larger ducks tend to take even longer. I've hear about some days not laying till 30-32 weeks they those were mostly Pekins.
