Oh wow. I bet my duck was laying eggs for a while then!! something was sure enjoying the snack??? (I'm totally puzzled!) It just goes to show, you need to watch them, and keep them in a confined area until after they lay! So I never saw any weird eggs (like I know I did for chickens), but I have 2 more new hens, so now a total of 3...... Should be interesting keeping track of all of them.
**BTW, my ducks REALLY like eating eggs shells.** Chicken/duck egg shells, doesn't matter. They scarf them! I'd give them to the chickens, but they never seem as enthusiastic as ducks do over them!!! I don't know if you can give them oyster shell? I never have. I've only had soft shells (with the lack of supplements) with the chickens.
