Duck Enrichment/Toys

I'm just wondering what you guys do for your ducks for enrichment and toys? Ducky is a house duck, so I'm on the lookout for things she can play with which will help keep her entertained (mostly when she's in her cage, but also when she's out). She's a curious little girl who loves to check out new things!

When my duckling were inside they loved the treat ball, fill it with meal worms and they will roll it all over. TSC or Amazon has them.

My ducks love the treat ball with mealworms or corn. I bought them some parrot toys, they hated them. One of them loves a broken part of a clothes line hanging off the garage.

My yard ducks love to hunt. So, we try to provide them with plenty of hunting places. The hay in their pen gets fluffed and then meal worms are tossed in there before bed. I don't rake, since the leaf litter hides scrumptuous critters to munch on. They love to dig, so we have mulched areas that are more for them than the plants they are "protecting".

So, when we get our two little baby fluffies in the mail around Jan 13th, we are going to have to start thinking of the same stuff as they get bigger, to teach them to hunt while still in the house and the weather outside is inhospitable to babies. We've decided to let them have a hunting ground as well. We will hide treats in their shavings to find, or in the sink when they bathe, or a place on the floor when they are allowed free range movement.

I think we will look into that treat ball as well.
