Duck farm

Hi this is Stephen the duck, we are trying to start breeding ducks! We have only just started keeping ducks, but we where wondering is there a breeding season for ducks to mate! Our ducks seem happy and content but we are getting to eggs at all?

Soon.....they should start laying soon.


Ducks are very light dependent.

Now that daylight is increasing, they should start getting ready to lay.


With that said, even though my chicken's egg laying has increased this last week, I have only gotten one duck egg. Maybe another month.

You probably already know this, but I will let you know just in case. Make sure for every drake you have AT LEAST two ducks (preferably three or four). This will prevent your drakes from fighting and over mating and possibly hurting your ducks.

i think the duck will start laying next month or maybe sooner but i have not gotten any eggs yet at all i hope you get some duck eggs soon i hope i do to

i have been on egg watch for a few weeks but i check every day for eggs but i havent got any eggs yet dont forget they like to hide the eggs so look in every corner and under every thing
