Duck Feed

My pekin duck just turned 6 weeks old. Does he still need unmedicated chick starter? And should he still have food available at all times?

Hi, Correct, the ducks won't need the medicated starter. I feed mine twice daily-morning and night but they are about 3 mos old. You will want to offer dark greens for a midday snack-they love them!

PS: Ducks are flock creatures-you may want to consider getting him a buddy or two.

Hey, thanks for the advice. About how much per serving do you think is good?

I offer them as much as they can eat in about five mins. Usually there is a little left in the bowl and they will graze on it later. The greens can be romaine lettuce-just dice them up good if they are still little. You can also feed them peas or anything else green.
