I was wondering, what is the difference between all flock and duck feed? I saw DuMor had a 20% duck feed and am thinking about maybe trying it out but wanted to see if it is a good idea. I have been feeding Nutrena 20% all flock pellets and they seem to like it but I think switching things up every now and then is good for them (or at least can’t hurt).

And here is the picture tax I heard is due

In theory an All Flock feed **SHOULD** have extra Niacin for ducks, though its not printed on the guaranteed nutritional label. Years ago, one of the posters contacted Purina and Nutrena re: Niacin levels in their respective All Flock offerings. It was adequate for generic adult ducks. I would need to search for the relevant posts.

Meaning low for fast growth Pekins. Which is why you often see nutritional yeast recommended as a precaution when raising Pekins and other fast growth heavy waterfowl.

What the current levels are in those feeds would require a phone call or email to the MFGs to see if they changed during the Pandemic

I agree with @U_Stormcrow . I also contacted multiple feed companies for their niacin content for both all flocks/flock raisers and their duck feed. The niacin content was either the same or pretty close. The main difference between their all flock and duck feed was the duck feed had lower protein.
