Hi! So last night a cat got into my duck coops I have 4 ducks, 2 Pekins 2 mallard mixs my Pekins sounded off so I was able to get out there but not in enough time to save one of my mallards, she died in my arms a few mins after i got out there
Anywho my two mallards were buddies I got both of them together as ducklings and they were very bonded, the pekins luckily accepted them as part of the flock so that was good.
I just don't know what to do for my poor mallard that survived, is she going to be ok with out her buddy? She can still hang with the pekins but I just feel so horrible for her that she lost her best friend. Do I get another mallard so she can bond with that one? Or will she bond to the pekins more now?
