In the Brooder
Hello all!
My girls are pretty new to laying and not all of them are laying yet. I have at least one fawn/white Indian runner and one Cayuga laying. I know this, because I’ve caught them in camera laying. But I haven’t caught any others just yet!
Here’s where I’m confused. The Indian Runner, Almond, was my first to lay. She started laying just shy of 20 weeks. All my ducks are currently 22 weeks.
Today, I caught on camera Almond laying three eggs. One with a nice normal hard shell. Two with a weak, “bendable” shell. I also found a fairy egg when I went in their coop this morning with a thick hard shell but I’m not sure who laid it.
Should I be concerned for Almond? I don’t want her to be working in overdrive and just want her to be happy and healthy. Any advice would be great! Or if anyone has experience with this
