Hi everyone. :) I was wondering if anyone has eaten duclair duck? Does it taste noticeably different from other ducks? I've muscovies and chickens right now and may get appleyard ducks at some point but was wondering if duclair duck would be worth raising as a separate flavor dish or if all ducks/chickens taste the same. Thanks :)
 
I haven't had it, that I know of. I've only ever had duck from the store and I don't know what breed they normally raise for that purpose. I'm guessing Pekin. I have read that Duclair taste better but I think that is pretty subjective. I guess that's not much help is it. ;) You may get more responses if you post your question in the meat section.
 
I'm convinced the difference in flavor has more to do with feed and husbandry than breed.
