Duck not sitting on her eggs.

So my muscovy duck just laid her first batch of eggs (14) and it’s been almost 2 days since she hasn’t sat on them, I wanna know if I can have a duck egg omelette or if she eventually would sit on them.

Ducks must be broody in order to hatch their eggs. If this is her first time laying, chances are she isn’t broody and will not sit on them.

Ducks under 1 year of age and so close to winter probably shouldn’t hatch out eggs, anyway. I’d take the eggs away.
