Duck on its back!?!?

Went out to check on the lil ones and one of my ducks was on its back and seemed to be struggling to get back over. They are about a month old and fairly big at this point. I simply reached in and helped turn her over and she chirped a bit but seem to be fine after that. Is this common? Something I have to look out for? Can they flip back on their own?

Seems to be absolutely fine! I know they are clumsy as all be and I have a board laying under the food to try and keep the wood shavings out. I’m thinking she may have rolled off that? Not entirely sure though

I hope so. I would be watching her closely though just to be sure nothing else is going on. Glad you were there to upright her!

Hello..It happens. Nothing to worry about. They do struggle once tipped of their backs. Happens here too.

Thanks! New to all my birds and to see a Megladuck (they grow so much faster than the chicks) turned over like that was surprising.

I understand. Sometimes they trip or get knock over and struggle to get up. Unless it happens constantly it's nothing to worry about.
