Duck or Drake...quack quack?

quick video. Do you hear ducks and drakes????

Nearest white one is two weeks younger than others, the squeaking comes mostly from the younger one. The others are about 10 weeks old. The golden retriever is male...I can confirm that. But he loves his peas now too. Hated them until the ducks started getting them.

Right between 0:06 and 0:08, I hear a drake for a split second....Anyone else? I had to listen several times, but I would give it more time. Maybe your lil pipper let it out and is actually a male. Very cute vid by the way. Makes me miss raising ducks!

Lucky you . Lots of girl quacks. Mine aren’t gotten into the peas so much yet - but are very hooked on the mealworms.

Definitely females and the chirping on is most likely male. All if my females are usually quacking by 6-8 weeks old.

I have to say, the quacking is hilarious at times. For no reason that I know, one of them will let out a Quack Quack that sounds like a cartoon character laughing. Sometimes when I'm walking from my workshop to the house when one of them first sees me she will let out the loud quack. I wish I knew what that meant at that moment.

My neighbor the other day asked "Do you have ducks or something over there?" I thought to myself..."Gee, what gave that away! LOL" - now...to be fair they have a Lab that barks night and day - we don't mind...so the feeling is totally mutual. But of all the years having chickens even when they sing their egg song...nobody ever made a comment to me about hearing them.
