Can the first duck eggs look just like guinea eggs ?
My Runners will be 6 months old next week.
I have found two eggs in a dust bath spot over the last week.
They look just like guinea eggs- same size, pointed end, same color,
but my only guinea hen has been on her nest and the nest is undisturbed.

These are the two eggs I found.
I know they look like guinea eggs but
my only guinea hen is on her nest.
My ducks are 6 mo old Runners.

They look more like guinea eggs to me, too. Are they really thick shelled like a guinea's eggs are? Could any eggs have rolled out of your guinea hen's nest? My runners eggs are all green; even when they first started they were green, just a little darker than they are now.

Ok- I agree. They have to be guinea eggs.
My poor hen must be as confused as I am.
She's brooding a small clutch and still laying an occasional egg, I guess.
I've checked her clutch and none are missing.
Thanks group.
