I have a Pekin duck who likes to peck me with her beak closed when she’s in her pen, does anyone know why? I’ll go to check on my ducks and the Pekin likes to peck up my arm with her beak closed. It doesn’t hurt, and she doesn’t seem to be doing it in an aggressive manner. She also only does it when she’s in her pen where she feels the most safe since she likes to be pet only when inside her pen.

Remember, ducks don't have hands or fingers. Birds use their beaks/bills to feel things (how hard or soft, etc.), to convey affection by patting or tapping, to get your attention. Any of these might be reasons that your duck is nibbling on you.

Ducks nibble at one another all the time, for friendship and grooming. She's probably happy you are part of her flock.
