We have 3 pekin ducks that are 8 weeks (and 2 days, lol) old. They were straight run from a farm and garden style store locally.
Sweetest things ever but, dang are they frustrating! I was pretty sure when we got them when they were a few days old that it was 2 male, 1 female. One is for sure a drake. Each time he gets picked up he quacks like he has been smoking too much. One of the other ones is a duck and the other a drake. For the life of me though, I cannot figure out which one. The female only quacks when we aren't paying attention and even then, its only 1 or 2 quacks then back to light chatter. If we hold them, it's just muffled duck grunts and chatter from both. Seriously can hold them, tip them, walk away with them, and just standard chatter.
Two weeks of this. I'm sure they feel it to be some elaborate game to get treats
