There are 3 Pekin ducks that were left near a marina close to where I live. Probably have been there for months. One has an injured foot. I called popcorn park zoo and they “can’t take birds right now”. I contacted another animal rescue - waiting to hear if they will take them in. Anyone know who else I can try? I am in ocean county NJ. hate to see these domesticated ducks fend for themselves.
Thanks!

That is always so sad to see. Maybe post on your state forum. Hopefully, someone will want them or know a rescue who will take them.

Any way you can rescue them treat the injured foot while looking for new homes for them?

The injury is old. Either some thing did it like a snapping turtle? Or it was born deformed? I can’t get close enough to see it. But it’s missing its middle toe and web. I can’t take them as I have three of my own, and would be afraid of fighting and or sickness disease is being introduced?? And I don’t have the room. I reached out to an animal sanctuary near my house waiting to hear back.
