Duck sitting on her eggs - Has Not came out In 2 days Is This Normal ?

Hi everyone, Love this site

I don't raise ducks or anything, I live across street from a city lake. Our friend duck built her nest next door under our
neighbors shrubs.

It has been about 3-4 weeks now, usually she would come out to eat at least twice a day for an hour or two
then back to her eggs.

Two days is this normal. ? Keep waiting on all the little babies to follow out soon.

I can see her under shrub I don't want to disturb.

Her two protector dudes....lol still on patrol on the side lines but never around her nest. Funny part on that was
When she does / did come out QUACK QUACK her dudes would be in our backyard and hear her ... and immediately
FLY to front yard to guard her so weird. Interesting.

I know it is close to time, not sure of the process.

Do the Mommy ducks never leave nest at all when it is close? I would think at least once a day to eat. ? No yes?
Males guarding ......?

I think they do leave once or twice a day, but she may be doing it at odd hours when you don't see her. Yes, hatch day should be really close.

Amazing I got the times figured out Once a day the past 3 days. She Quacks (ps .. a Pekin Duck) quack quack...
Her 2 male protectors like she is Queen and they fly to her as soon as they hear her...... Is that cool or what ?

They visit hang out for an hour or so Mom takes bath (my hubby fish pond Whoops.... eats and back to her eggs almost 24hrs.
they don't take advantage of her at all.

So Weird as soon as they hear her quack they fly to her Side.. Awesome... and On Guard Duty Wow

Aren't they something? Ducks are individuals. Not all of them do that. Sounds great!

My female mallard is about to hatch her eggs and the male is very protective over her. He also sits on the nest with her at times to help out. It is completely adorable! My other female is the lookout and quacks anytime someone gets near the coop. They all watch out for eachother. They are very smart instinctive animals.
