Duck thinks he is a chicken

We donated some duck and chicken eggs to a teacher friend for her class to hatch. They got two chickens and one duck hatched and returned to us The duck thinks he is a chicken....he even trys to sound like one. They are big enough now, that we are introducing them to the ducks and chickens we hatched earlier. The 6 older ducks are VERY interested in him, but he is scared of them. He hangs in the corner with his two chickens. I am hoping that they will all get used to each other soon.

Wow, that sounds frustrating. Maybe you should do something to "arouse his duck instincts" like putting him in water or something "ducky".

Oh dear. Once he imprints on non-ducks it's VERY difficult to overcome. Try positive reinforcement maybe? Like, giving him peas when he's around the ducks so he associates them with his favorite treat!
