Ok, so we finished processing all of our ducks with "Duck Wax" and are left with a very large, expensive, stainless steel pot that is basically ruined.

Is the wax stuck to the pot forever??? Is there a secret to cleaning it? I would scrape it but I don't want to scratch it.

Any wax removal tips????

I haven't had this problem, but here are a few tips and follow very carefully as to NOT get yourself burnt. Do you have a pan larger than your stainless steel pot, put enough water in it this base pot to begin melt down of the wax in your SS pot. I would repeat this unless all the was is out of the pan

Another possibility might be to put the Stainless steel pot in the freezer and try to "Pop Out" the wax.

If your stainless steel pot is very very heavy, you might see if there are any commercial wax removers. I probabgly would not use this option as it might render it unuseable for cooking food.

I would use only plastic utensils or wooden ones in the removal process. Good luck!

Fill the pot with water to cover the wax. Simmer the pot until all the wax melts and floats to the top of the water. Cool until the wax sets and just lift it off the water.

The very tiny ring left in the pot can be warmed slightly and just wiped off.

Do not pour any melted wax or water with wax down your drains or you will very likely clog the drain. When you are using the duck wax, you use a small layer over a big pot of water to dip the birds, so you should not be getting all that much wax all over your pot.
