Duck Won’t Walk

4 days ago my 3 month old male pekin, Midas, was chased by a dog and had a few tail feathers pulled out, but he doesn’t have any injuries. No bite wounds, he wasn’t pounced on, just got his butt nipped at before he got out of the dog’s chain reach. Now he refuses to walk, he hasn’t used his legs since the incident, every other part of his body moves perfectly normal, I’ve done very slow and gentle range of motion exercises with his legs and it doesn’t bother him, when I take him and sit him in the little stream him and his duck sister like to swim in he just floats while the other duck swims around him. She even tries to encourage him to walk by pushing his legs with her bill, but nothing happens. He gets plenty of niacin with his diet so I know that wouldn’t have caused him to go lame. What’s wrong with him?

Yeah maybe even a little sore from the attack. I can only imagine that scared the heck out of that poor duck.

I know, I feel so bad for him, it’s really sad because whenever Nelly (his sister) leaves his side he gets incredibly distraught. Any ideas on how long a recovery could take?

Possibly swelling in its spinal cord..? Definitely something isn't right. Maybe it needs an X-ray?
