my freind just got some mallards and has a few ?s
1. do i need to clip wings
2. will they fly to the near lake and run away
3. how far do they travel
4. can they be kept with chickens

If you want them to stay around when it comes winter

2. will they fly to the near lake and run away

If they find the lake they will probably go to that, and possibly fly away with all the other mallards there.

3. how far do they travel

Well if they fly away, they probably won't come back.

4. can they be kept with chickens

Personally, I wouldn't, but some people keep ducks with chickens.​
