Chirping
Could anyone confirm my thought on this duckling being a Golden cascade? If so, male or female? It’s awfully chatty! Got a TSC on February 21,2024.

Very gorgeousThey certainly look like a Golden Cascade, but I didn’t think TSC carried that breed..
It’s a bit early to properly voice-sex, but if you can send a video, I could give it a shot. You should know the sexes for sure in a week or two, as any girls will begin making the occasional loud “honk,” and any boys will still only have their baby chirp.
Not the best at figuring out how to post a video, but I think I did it? Anyway, the duck in question is the one making all the noise!Very gorgeousThey certainly look like a Golden Cascade, but I didn’t think TSC carried that breed..

Great video! That sound the duckling is making is called, “peep-honking,” which is a very strong indication that she might be a girl. Not the best at figuring out how to post a video, but I think I did it? Anyway, the duck in question is the one making all the noise!
Thanks so much! First time with ducks but I’m learning quickly! Don’t worry, I’m prepared for the messGreat video! That sound the duckling is making is called, “peep-honking,” which is a very strong indication that she might be a girl.
If she’s still peep-honking, or even quacks in the coming weeks, you definitely have a girl there!
