I am just wondering if it is possible to sex this duck yet. He/she is about 4 weeks old. I have quite a few girls whose voice is changing but this guy/gal is the silent type. It is a Rouen/White Crested mix (yes I know the risks with crested, we hatched eggs from my neighbor and she has a black Swedish female and a white crested female along with a Rouen Drake, the eggs were free and we didn’t know whose eggs were whose until hatch) the feathers in so far are all brown and black like a female Rouen/Mallard but not sure if juvenile Rouen feathers all look the same for both genders or not...pics below. Also the bill used to be pink and gray and being new to ducks and having nothing to compare to I am having trouble deciding if the bill is now considered orange or yellow, though I would say orange (I read orange is usually female)...

If he/she is the silent type, it might be a drake. Give it another week or two. Once they stop their duckling peeping you should be able to accurately voice sex them all.
Thanks. Yes, the current quackers do seem to make the most noise lol
