Duckling hatching HELP

Hi there,
I have a baby duckling that had pipped 24h ago and the membrane was stuck to her beak and she couldn't move! I have the humidity up high!!
I carefully peeled back the very dry crusty membrane but now her beak is sticking right out and I'm wondering how she is going to use her beak to break open the rest of the shell!

Hi there, looking at your pic that's not too bad a looking membrane at all. It's nice and white which is good. Brown and tan colour is the sign that it's drying out. She should be able to zip out of that egg ok. She should turn in the egg and crack the egg round with her bill. By moving it in and out

Get over to the duck forum and they should be able to help you out.

In the meantime, have you tried dipping your finger in water and gently moistening the membrane?

Did anyone reply on the duck thread?

You can gently moisten the membrane with a warm wet cotton bud. Be careful not to get water in her bill. Also you can wrap in some warm wet kitchen roll but don't cover the bill.
