I have 10 ducklings , and 2 of the 11 day old Cayugas seem to be having huffy breathing. Last night I noticed one, and thought It might be a nare, so put him in a warm bath. There was much sniffling and snorting and fun, and he seemed better. Thus morning it seems like he is still snuffly, but not as pronounced. And there us another that seems the same. I made them a couple head washers. The problem is, I don't know which ducks it is, they are all black and we can't easily tell them them apart since their colored tape fell off. I also don't want it to spread to the other ducklings, but they're all together so if it's contagious , it probably already has. I plan to let everyone swim and clear out nares today, and change all year bedding, and do Sav a chick electrolyte and probiotic. Anything else I should do Or get? Or do they need to go to the vet yet??

I would watch closely for a day or two - bedding, food dust, etc. can really clog their nares. If they can get them clean and keep them clean, then respiratory problems from the dust are much less likely.

Please keep us updated.

They seem much better today @Amiga. They had 2 tubby times yesterday, which was really terrible for them, haha, and I can't hear any audible breathing. I will keep a closer eye on their brooder wetness, now that we have a plan for containing mess, somewhat! Thanks for the support !
