Duckling - needs his own?

Hello,

Yesterday I got my back yard chicks and added to them by 1 duckling. The farmer supply store assured me he would do well with the chickens and after doing my own research for awhile I did go and purchase him. I was curious tonight though if I should go back in the AM when they open and purchase him a duckling friend? So he has someone of his "own" kind in his home life?

I would. Ducks and chickens just aren't the same. He needs someone who will get just as excited about water as he will!

Good! that way it'll have a tub buddy. Also if you get drakes(male ducks) be prepared it maybe an issue with the hens and could lead to death if they mate them.
