Duckling washing excessively

Our 2wk old silver appleyard are being allowed supervised bath swimming. However, one of them spends its entire time dunking its head and washing. The other swims around and darts under the water. Is there an issue or is just something the duckling will grow out of. I saw it doing the same head movement next to the water bowl in the brooder earlier today, not actually in the water at that time though. It is the more timid of the two ducklings.

That doesn’t sound odd to me.. My birds love dunking and washing, both in and out of the water. As long as they look healthy & act healthy, I don’t see a problem.
