Duckling with broken leg

Hello!

We have free range ducklings with their mama. They are just over 2 weeks old.

One of them got stepped on by a neighborhood child. Its leg has been injured. It is able to keep up with mama mostly. But every time she stops, it sits down. It's obviously tired.

My question is what should I do? Should I bring it in to make sure it gets food, water, etc... If I do that will it ever go back to following mama? Or will I need to keep it until it's old enough to fend for himself?

Any advice appreciated?

If it's leg is broken trying to keep up with the group isn't going to help. I'd bring it in and maybe bring another in with it for company they do much better not being alone.
@casportpony does much better with this than I so hopefully she'll be able to tell you what to do as far as treatment. But It will take a while for the leg to heal so most likely it won't be going back with momma . What breed, what age and can you post pics where you think the break is?
