I have ducklings that are about 8 weeks old and Hens that are laying. I can't seem to keep the hens out of the ducklings food! Can I just mix the layer feed with the flock raiser I've been feeding to my duckies? I suppose I should wait until the ducks start laying to give them the layer feed...but can the chickens eat flock raiser while they're laying? Ahh!!

The chicks can eat grower or raiser while they're laying. I might supplement their feed with either oyster shell or crushed eggshells, though. I don't think the feeds are that vastly different, but others here might have better info.

I would just feed everyone Flock Raiser and offer the hens oyster shells in a bowl to the side. I've always done this with all of my birds.

Thanks you guys! I'll just feed them all flock raiser. They free range so I don't know if they NEED the oyster shells, but I do have some so I'll put it out just in case :)
