Ducklings and swimming!

Hi all - my first post on BYC!

I am currently raising a flock of 14 Pekin ducklings. They are about 7.5 weeks old now and their feathers are coming in beautifully, but they still have lots of baby fuzz!

We have a big pond that we eventually want to let them swim in by themselves. At what age can we safely let them out in the pond?

Yes! They have a little tub in with them, but they've outgrown it pretty quickly so now they just stand in it. I have a bigger kiddie pool - should I let them get used to that, and then move them to the pond?

You can but they can go directly to the pond too..They are big enough now.
