Ducklings being bullied/picked on?

Hi Guys!

Two of six of my ducklings hatched last night, one went into the brooder at around 8pm, the other this morning as was drying all night.

However my first one seems to be pecking at the second Gus (the second) has some dried yolk on him, so assumed at first it was Whistle (the first) trying to get it off, but the more I watch, Whistle keeps pulling at Gus's wings and waking her up to be mean!

Please help me!

Such behavior is not unusual. Ducklings and chicks peck at everything trying to figure out what is edible. It generally resolves in a matter of days. If blood is drawn, it will be necessary to separate them for a bit.

Agreed, very normal especially when they are placed in the brooder hours apart. Ducks don't have hands so they use their bill to feel and grab things. At this age it's really no different then a baby trying to grab everything in sight.
