Our duckling is 5 days old, hatched with a lot of help because he couldn't get out of the egg (help was needed on the third day after start of pecking.) It had an curled foot which we treated with a little show and it has uncurled since. The egg sack was also not absorbed, but it dried nicely and we cut it off after a few hours and started feeding immediately. It's a very lively little duckling, feeding well and hopping about. - the little foot is now bend inwards, tried to help with a little stick attached to leg and show, but it's not straightening. Does anybody has experience with this? Any suggestions would be so helpful! Also I include a pic of the belly button. It has healed nicely, but sticking out a bit. Any advice on this would be great! Thanks!

Aww, poor baby. The navel looks fine. That foot is definitely strange though. Does the hock area feel normal? Can you get a full body pic of his left side?

Thanks so much for getting back. We think hock is okay. What we think happened was that with first treatment of curled foot (a little show as suggested) the leg started bending more, at least we noticed it more when we put off the show. Duckling is getting vitamin drops in her water and brewers yeast since day 1. - New pics taken now. Put a show on her over the night with a little stick attached on the right side of leg. Apart from that she's very lively. (first pick with show and stick, second after taking it off this morning). Foot seems a bit swollen underneath, the bit where she is standing on.
