Ducklings waterer

Eggs are about to hatch in couple of days. I'm nervous about the drinking waterer. Do I need to put marbles in this small waterer?

It will only take less than an inch of water. Will it be enough water for ducklings to wash their eyes/beaks in? Thank you.
