My ducks free range, however we have a few bunches of milkweed plants in our yard (we love monarchs too). I would assume that these plants are toxic to ducks the way they are to dogs. I have 16" high wire fencing around the milkweed to keep our dogs away, but our ducks can fit between the wires. Is there any fencing to keep the ducks away (and that they cant fit those little heads through) that is also decorative?

We have ducks who free range around our property, and we also have quite a bit of milkweed and vetch. We've never had a problem, but if you wanted to fence it off, we've had success with dark green so-called rabbit fence *the horizontal spacing between wires is narrower near the ground) our duck pastures. Our rabbit fence is attached to cedar split rail (two rail) fence.

I've had great success with hard ware cloth. It is pretty much everything proof. I've used it on my duck coops for years, and I've recently started using it to fence off my gardens too keep much ducks out. It is a quarter inch mesh weave, so you shouldn't have any issues with them sticking their heads through. The only issue is it's not particularly decorative. good luck!
