This is a place where you can talk about cute and funny things that your ducks have done! I'll start:

I keep my runty Cayuga drake with a pair of Chinese geese, Big Guy and Hot Head. They like to pal around and to splash in the kiddie swimming pool I gave them! Whenever I dump it out to clean and refill it they like to eat the mud that happens. A few days ago Big Guy decided to splash in the pool rather then eat the mud. As he was splashing, a bit of water landed on my drake, Dobkin. He was surprised, ran a few feet off, then figured out what had happened and decided that Big Guy needed to be punished. Dobkin ran back up to the pool, waited until Big Guy's back was turned, then promptly bit him on the butt! Big Guy could not figure out what had happened and decided to get out of the evil pool that had bitten his butt. DObkin was very happy at that because he now had the whole pool to himself.

Cute!

My 2 Aussie Spot ducks follow me around a lot. We live next to a State Park that is mostly a huge forest, (cougars and coyotes live in there) The other day I was going to take the dogs for a walk in the forest and the ducks were sure they were going too! Bantam ducks in the forest! Not a good idea, I had to take them back home and make sure they were distracted so I could sneak off. Also, they chase my dogs. We have a Queensland Heeler and a Heeler/Border Collie and those tiny little ducks go after the dogs with their bills open and hissing. The dogs are scared of them!

Both of my ducks, a 22 week rouen female and a 22 week black india runner female, are really fond of what we like to call 'duck yoga.' When they sleep, they do so standing, with one leg tucked up onder them like a flamingo. Upon waking, they stretch the tucked under leg straight back while extending the corresponding wing straight back as well. Necks as far forward as possible of course! Even tho they look completely different, I think they like to mime eachother, so if one is flamingo-ing on her left leg, the other will do so on her left leg too. It never fails to make me laugh!

That's really cute! My Cayuga also likes to boss around our Guinea Fowl, even though he's half their size. They've never figured out that they're much bigger then he is.
