Ducks bonding? also, what breed are they?

I was wondering if 3 week old ducklings will still "bond" with a human? or do they have to be just hatching? Ive been spending a considerable amout of time with them.. I'm off school and work so pretty much all day. They just dont seem to be warming up to me yet. But, I could still be getting ahead of myself, I've only had them for going on 3 days. Haha.

Also, can yall tell me what breed yall think they are? I think the smaller one is a mallard...(yet i could be wrong, Im still a newbie!) But what about the bigger one? their markings arent the same.

They are younger then 3 weeks. I would say they are only a week old. Keep on working them and they will warm up. They will not be like a dog per say, but they will tolerate you.

The one in front looks like a rouen. I think the one in back looks like pictures of black swedish but I've never had one so not sure. I got my ducklings at a few days old and they still run from me at 3-4 weeks old. However, they come for treats and are getting better and better when I hold them. Just hold them a lot and bribe them with treats and they should end up liking you.

I have both breeds and they are wonderful birds. None of mine are what you would call friendly, but they aren't flighty either. I also don't spend a lot of time hands on with them as ducklings either though.... They are cute!

I dont know much about ducks but the ones I have that look like yours are a black sweedish and a rouen so I agree with everyone else.

I had no idea they were that young! I'm trying to find maybe one or two more but I can't find them anywhere ! I live in the fort worth area of Texas.
