Ducks disappearing

I have a chicken coop it sets up on legs about a foot my chickens roost in it at nite and my 3 ducks would sleep under it at nite. It has no sides around the legs under the coop so the ducks just had protection from above. Things had been doing good then, one nite 1 of my chickens (she usuasualy wouldnt get in the coop) and 1 duck disappeared. Then another duck next day, then a few days later there where a small amount of feathers from the last duck, but she was still there, and a few more days later she was gone. To the exception of the one time there where no signs of struggle or anything left behind, just duck gone I'm trying to figure out what happened I'd like to get some more ducks. Any ideas or suggections?

I have them in a large 6 ft chain links fence and inside that a smaller electric poultry fence.

A predator is taking your ducks. They are not just disappearing. Correct the problem before geting more birds.

Ducks are very susceptible to predation, and need a very secure area. Try a search of the forum on fence and housing and predator protection. Then get ready to build something sturdy before you get more animals.

I am the one that wrote dissappearing ducks. I forgot to state that the area i have them in is in a large 6 ft chain link fence and then I have them in a smaller eletric poultry fence.

could be a raccoon or opossum they can climb

Or a fox if you have them. I lost a heap of runners to foxes this year all in one night and I too thought they were in a secure run. The thing i have done now and it seems to be working is i have dug and concreted corrugated iron in around the bottom of the runs.

Even Owls will take ducks.

Given the description of the housing, an owl is a very likely suspect.
