Ducks during the winter?

Hey guys! I am a new duck owner and this will be my first winter with them. I get cold winters and usually decent amounts of snow. They have a pond made from a pond liner that is 3 ft deep, and in the ground. Just wondering how I keep the pond water from freezing? Should I add a waterfall? Any advice would be helpful! Thanks!

just drain it and only fill it up on warmer days. anything below freezing i don’t let mine swim

Depending on your geographical location? This should work fine for you. A simple google search will pop up other suitable water heaters that will do the same thing.

Waterfalls are good for water quality but will do little if anything to prevent freezing.
