Google and the archives were not helpful to me. We have a bunch of cedar trees, and many of them (female) have berries. The ducks wander the yard and today were nibbling the cedar berries. Any idea if this is OK to them, or at least someone who has ducks and a similar situation and their ducks have been ok?

I found this-->http://www.starwest-botanicals.com/blog/are-you-missing-out-on-cedar-berries.html, which makes me think it would be best for the ducks not to eat them. The medicinal properties worry me, especially the one about them having diurectic properties. Too much of that cause dehydration and other problems, and "too much" of anything is a lot less in a duck than in a human.

What I would do in your situation if this is a place my ducks were going to frequent is cut off all the limbs low enough for the ducks to reach them. That's just what I would do, not what I'm advising you to do, because sometimes I go overboard on these things. You'll have to make a judgement call on it.

Best wishes!
