This is my first egg hatch. one of my babies is born already but only one. Is that odd or normal? It has been out for hours. And I checked all the eggs, cearfully, and one of the eggs is cracking but hasn't changed since about noon. Do muscovy ducks take longer to hatch? I don't know if I was 100% sure about when they were fertilized but I thought they were supposed to hatch next week. Do you think im wrong, or do they take a week for all of them to hatch fully?? I'm confused!!

ducks take a long time to come out of their shells sometimes.
when I am hatching ducks, I let them go at least four more days after the first one hatches.

it doesn't matter when they were fertilized as far as incubating time is concerned.
as with chickens, when they are started incubating determines when they will hatch.
If they are all started incubating at the same time, they should hatch at about the same time.
but don't be surprised if one takes a couple more days than another.
