Ducks for meat.

Hi we have kept chickens for years, mainly for eggs and recently started processing our girls and boys for meat.
After speaking with friends on duck eggs and meat, just wondering has anyone else taken up dual purpose ducks
and how it has gone?
Also we like the look of Mallard ducks does anyone recommend this breed.

We did Muscovies. And IMHO they are not worth it as meat animals. They are hard to process, and expensive to feed. IME
