I am getting two Pekin ducks and i want to buy something for them to swim in. I think that they might want to swim together, but two smaller tubs would be easier to clean, instead of a large kiddie pool. Better to benefit the ducks, or me? Really, it would benefit both me and the ducks if i got two smaller tubs, because I would be able to clean them everyday, and i have heard that you need to clean everyday with Pekins. So what do you think: two smaller tubs or one big one?

I have a small tub that I use for their drinking water and they can get into it and take a bath if they want. 1nce a week or so I let them swim in the big kiddie pool. Then everybody's happy! :-)

I found a tub that is 32 inches across and 8 inches high. It seems perfect, but is eight inches high enough? I heard the tub needs to be at least a foot deep. Is eight inches close enough? if not, does anybody have any good recommended tubs?

I have a kiddie pool that I got from Walmart. I got the biggest one they had that didn't have a slide. My 4 ducks love it, it's a perfect size. It's a foot high, 5 foot wide and was around $12. It's made of plastic so it's super easy to clean. I don't know if they still have them and depending on where you live your Walmart might not carry them but thats what I have and recommend.

I just have a pond for my ducks but you can use a large kiddie pool with a drain/pvc pipe at the bottom like this one.

I found a sandbox that was low, and big enough for two ducks for only $38. I figured it would last longer than a kiddie pool. It is eleven inches high and i could put a step or something for them to get in and out if needed. thanks for all the advice!
