I'm just curious are there some ducks that 'decide'not to lay eggs, if it's possible! And is this a big concern for its health etc? Sorry if sounds silly!!!

What breed are they? Some ducks, like calls and mallards, have a finite laying season but others like pekins and welsh harlequins should lay year-round.
They are still too young, so that would explain it. Most ducks usually lay around 20 weeks but larger breeds like pekins tend to lay more around the 6 month mark. Then you have to figure in with winter coming the amount of daylight will be less and they may not lay till spring. Give it more time. They're Pekins will have to re-check their age think they're coming up on 4mths!

4 months is WAY early to start laying. I did have one Pekin that started at 4 months (16 weeks) but it is FAR more likely to fall between 5 and up to 6 months. Then if winter has set in by then, they may decide to wait till spring to lay.....it can happen. Relax. You still have baby babies.
