ducks vs. chickens

Hi, I have ducks that I would like to let out of their pen for awhile and I have chickens that run my yard. Will they get along or do I have to worry about my hens or my roosters attacking my ducks? Thank You!

they should get along however there can always be fighting at first just keep an eye on them and make sure no one is getting picked on to much.

If you have a drake he might want to mate with the chickens. I have a photo proving this but wonder if the mods would disapprove of me posting it.

You shouldn't have a problem. My chickens get along real well with my Pekin.

My 9 ducks, 36 chickens, and 2 geese all wander my fenced acre together, with no problems.

Thank you for the help! My chickens are let out of their pen in the morning and they go in by themselves in the evening. Will my ducks go in on their own if I let them out during the day or will I have to round them up. Thank You!

You have to herd them in for a little while (I think mine took about 2 weeks, but that was four or five years ago and now I always put the younger ducks in with older ducks who teach them to go inside at night), but once they learn the routine, they'll let you know if you're late!
