Ducks went AWOL last night

We let our ducks out every morning to spend the day on the pond. They usually take themselves to it and then come back in to the coop in the evening on their own. Yesterday they went out, then for some reason didn't want to come back in. My poor hubby ended up going for a swim around 9 to get them out of the pond. So today they were on restriction. (punks)

Ive done that before! It wasnt at night but all my neighbors got a show since the ducks were at the next door neighbors pond and its only 15 ft from the road - open to everything with no trees. SO needless to say I had multiple cars pulled to the side and even some helps when I got stuck in the mudyy bank after id chased the brats out.

Sorry- have to laugh- I can just picture what it may have looked like you there- up to your knees in mud- it can be hard to retain dignity in a situation like that.
