someone gave me 2 ducks because they couldn't sell them because they have problems. One seems to have an equilibrium problem and he goes in circles sometimes before he can get a grip to walk straight. He seems to be managing ok. The second one is way smaller but should be the same size. He also has clubbed feet but gets around quite well despite his turned in an crooked feet.. Ok this little guy is growing and both are happy in their little house and run I fixed just for them. Then the other evening the little one was limp and could not stand up at all. I put him to bed and by next morning he was running around as usual. I was so surprised and happy about that. well now I notice usually in the afternoon or evening he goes limp like that but always by morning is ok. Any ideas? They are eating and drinking well and take to the small pool I have set up for them. They are probably 5 weeks old.

They could need extra B vitamins, or they could have infections. Nothing to be scared of, but if it is infection then they need appropriate antibiotic. Any chance you can get a vet to look at them with you?

In any case, extra B's won't hurt - Add a tablespoon of brewer's yeast (not baking yeast) to each cup of food for them for a couple of months.

Take a look at these stories.

Bentley had a crooked neck from vitamin deficiency. https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/761308/peking-duckling-with-crooked-neck-help

And these days, we are hearing about Turbo's adventures.

Lots of love and determination really make a difference. Ducks are tough in their own way.

Thank you Amiga for responding. Sadly today Dibble passed on. It was so heartbreaking cause I found Dabble resting over his dead body. She had weakness in her feet for that period of time but this evening was back up running around. They were such great buddies and now I guess I should go find another duckling. I will find the brewers yeast too. It's such a sad day compounded by Dabble mourning the loss of her buddy.

They do mourn, I am glad you recognize that fact. An unbreakable mirror and a stuffed toy may help her quite a bit at this point, and yes, she needs a duck buddy. Bless you for loving them.
