I have 4-5 month old call ducks. When should they start to lay

Don't know if call ducks are any different, but my KCs were born early april and one's been laying for two weeks. Other one just started.

That's the norm 5 months on but it's not unheard of for a duck to lay at 4 months just not as common.

I had a Welsh Harlequin girl born last May and didn't start laying until spring of this year so don't count your eggs yet Her daughter is currently four months old and I am not really looking for her to start laying until next spring either; but I might be surprised. It seems those babies who do reach the laying age around autumn sometimes wait until the following spring when daylight hours are extended. Good luck!
