Ducks

I am thinking about getting ducks. I might want to eat them. I have a couple of questions. What are good breeds to buy for this? I also want gentle. I don't have a pond, but I could buy a little kiddie pool? Thank you.

Muscovies come to mind though I'm a vegetarian so haven't eaten them. '
Are you interested in egg laying as well? If so then Pekins might be a better choice.
A kiddie pool will be fine for the ducks but you will have to empty it often.
