Okay this chick, 4.5 weeks old. His comb grew and reddened at 3 weeks old so I was thinking cockerel. But seeing his feathers from behind I’m not sure He looks like a pullet?

mixed breed, buff or lavender orpington & white legbar & maybe something else.

Does he look like a pullet from the back, the way he’s got a bushy bum? (im new to poultry).
No worries, we all start somewhere.
No, he looks like a young cockerel. Both genders have fluffy bumble but it's not as noticeable on males since they have long saddle fetters and tail feathers.

Brill, thank you. I thought he was a cockerel. He proper squares up to one of the other chicks when I let them out in the mornings, lol. I really hope the other chicks are pullets 🤞
