Ok, I will be getting a few groups of eggs sent to me next week- do I put them in when I get them (?)- can they wait a few days till the others arrive? I think they are all being shipped mon/tues, but from different parts of the US. Sorry, I am just totally new! (And I will have a Genesis hovabator Fri! We ar SO excited!)

I'd suggest you check out this site. It discusses storing eggs for incubation.

I think you will be OK to hold them and start at the same time if you follow the suggestions on storing and turning. That will make hatching a lot easier on you.

You can wait and put them all in at the same time.. do it this way if you can...

Or you can put them is as they arrive.. BUT put the last ones in about 5 days after you set the first ones.. then at hatching time for the first ones, you will not be stepping on the time etc for the second ones..

as long as they are not exposed to extreme heat, they will be OK..

keeping them warm might only move the hatch day forward a bit if they are so warm as to start to incubate.. no big deal..

Good luck with your hatch
